Hello! I’m Anna.

You’re likely here because you or someone you care about is struggling with something. Maybe the struggle is rooted in trauma, chronic pain, internalized oppression, or relationship issues. Maybe it involves anxiety, low mood, negative thoughts, or difficulties communicating. Maybe it’s a combination of these, or something else completely. Whatever it may be, when you’re struggling mentally, physically, emotionally, relationally, or spiritually, it can feel like a heavy backpack that you have to carry all the time, and the weight can hinder your ability to find meaning, joy and connection in your life.

Using this metaphor of a backpack, you can think of counselling as an opportunity to take the backpack off. Each session, we’ll unpack it together, make some sense of the contents, see what matters to you, what you want to replace, and what you want to let go of. Overtime, you’ll notice that your backpack is getting a bit lighter, until eventually you feel like it’s reached a weight that you can handle on your own with the knowledge, tools, and skills you’ve gained.
